About Us
Indie rock from the Twin Cities. Junebug fuses together the best of all worlds to create a groovy sound that is uniquely their own, drawing on many influences from numerous genres including psychedelic, funk, grunge, classic rock, reggae and even country. With influences like Beck, the Flaming Lips, Ween, Cracker, the Foo Fighters and more, their lyrical hooks, funky rhythms and rock ‘n’ roll licks guarantee good times. They rock, so you don’t have to.
A group of lifelong friends, Anthony and Tony were in the same Kindergarten class and they met Dustin as freshmen in high school. Their decades-long relationship has resulted in a musical shorthand and unspoken language among them. Their ability to read each other musically has led to an extensive catalog of original material.
Junebug has had radio airplay on Cities 97, Radio K, and KFAI in the Twin Cities as well as KMSU in Mankato and KNDS in Fargo/Moorhead. Junebug has been the featured musical guest on KARE 11’s “Showcase Minnesota” and “Inside Entertainment” on North Metro TV, have made appearances on Fox 9 and KSTP Eyewitness 5, and have twice guest hosted “Modern Rock Twin Cities [MRTC]” on metro cable Channel 6. Junebug’s music has been placed in TPT’s “Minnesota Original” and in television programming in Europe.
Notable performances include the Basilica Block Party, opening for the Jayhawks and Black Crowes, and they spent several years as a recurring favorite on the Loring Stage at the Twin Cities Pride Festival. Junebug has played numerous shows at such celebrated Twin Cities venues as the Fine Line Music Café, the Varsity Theater, the 7th Street Entry, the Turf Club, Bunker’s, the Uptown Bar and many more. In addition to the many shows in the Twin Cities, Junebug plays road shows in Minnesota, the Dakotas, Iowa and Wisconsin.
